Irreconcilable Differences

Irreconcilable differences. This term is often used as terms for divorce. Something that, while often considered no-fault, is grounds for calling it quits. After all, there’s only so much you can do to make something work, right?

The last thing we want is to see a Brand-Influencer divorce. The relationship between a Brand and a Splasher is meant to be symbiotic. Mutually beneficial. Exciting! We’ve compiled a short list of tips to help your partnership last!

  1. Listen to each other. Brand and Splasher alike have a unique voice that they have used to build their Brand. While each Brand likely has a specific vision for how they want their product to be shown, a Splasher may see things from fresh eyes and have some suggestions to help your Brand shine!

  2. Think outside the box. By introducing a Splasher into your marketing efforts, you have the unique opportunity to show your Brand in a completely different light. A way you couldn’t have shown it on your own. Branding is important, yes, but imagine your followers seeing your product in a way they have never before. It’s almost like introducing it for the first time!

  3. Ask to review. Don’t be afraid to ask to review content before it goes live. Nothing sparks debate like seeing a post that doesn't give your Brand justice. Rather than waiting for the post to be seen by all, ask to see if first so if there is something you don’t love, you can discuss.

  4. Be picky. Just because a Splasher applied to the Gig doesn’t mean you are required to accept them. You know your Brand better than anyone, you should also know who is the right fir and who isn't. Choosing someone, just to choose them isn’t doing your Brand, or the Splasher, any justice. 5. Communicate. Most importantly, be sure to keep the line of communication open between Brand and Splasher. Be available to the Splasher to make sure their questions are answered before they pass along any misinformation. If they feel comfortable reaching out to you, they will.
